Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) will in the next two weeks announce which major party/coalition to support between NASA and Jubilee.
CCM Chairman Mohammed Gulleid has said they are still consulting on which movement to align themselves with which converges with their 'mashinani' ideology.
He admitted that there was a split within the party with either faction calling for CCM to support NASA or Jubilee party.
"We are listening to both sides and in due course we shall announce our decision. NASA has promised 45% of national government revenue to the counties which is what our party stand for, more resources to the grassroots. However, we are still considering Jubilee due to the political dynamics in our stronghold," said Gulleid.
Ghulleid also noted that the party leader, Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto will be able to defend his seat by CCM party saying the party augers well with the ordinary people who want to see more resources on the grassroots.
"There is no doubt that my party leader will be re-elected by CCM ticket. A recent opinion poll shows that he is away ahead of his close competitors from Jubilee and therefore we have no doubt he will win," added the Chairman.
