Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's blazing argument showed their domestic bliss had been shattered as early as 2014

The cracks in Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie ’s relationship were showing just months into their marriage with the pair having a blazing argument that left hotel guests in shock.

Despite being together since 2005, their domestic bliss was shattered after tying the knot following a secret ceremony in France in August 2014.

Just weeks later after forgoing a honeymoon due to work commitments, the newlyweds jetted off to Sydney, Australia, to promote Jolie’s film Unbroken.

But while there and hours before the couple were due on the red carpet, they were seen having a blazing row on the balcony of their room in the InterContinental Hotel balcony on November 17, 2014.

An eyewitness said: “When Brad threw up his arms, you could see the frustration on his face. He was clearly very angry.

“They kept shouting over each other and neither could be heard.

“Angie looked like she was on the verge of tears throughout it all “It was very heated. He left her on the balcony smoking cigarette before it all calmed down.

“They were then seen on the red carpet looking like the perfect couple.

“That’s Hollywood for you. It’s all about the image.

“The reality behind closed doors can be very different to the public persona.”

Jolie, 41, was left visibly upset by the row wrapping her arms around herself as she looked teary eyed.

Sources close to the couple, however, claim it was the first of many explosive rows culminating in a huge fight days before the mum-of-six filed for divorce on Monday.

According to US reports, the actor recently travelled to Croatia alone where he acted like a “carefree, single man on vacation”.

He had left for the Adriatic coast days before despite Jolie’s pleas for him to spend the last part of the summer with her and the children.

“Angie had hoped Brad would spend time with her and the kids at their estate in France, but he decided to head out on his own instead,” said a source.
