There are times when you used all manner of theatrics to kick out the Isack Hassan led commission and we kept quiet. Right now you have come with new demands and we will not allow that, says Aden Duale to NASA

National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has dared NASA coalition to make good their threats not to participate in the August 8th general elections.

This is after NASA coalition led by Raila Odinga on Sunday during a rally in Nakuru County said that if the high court decision allowing announcement of results at polling stations and constituency levels is overturned, then 'there will be no elections'.

However, the Garissa Township MP addressing his supporters during a public rally in Garissa town termed NASA's threats as ‘empty and being directed to the wrong people’.

“The NASA coalition leadership should know that the era of threatening institutions and other parties is long gone. Neither the IEBC, courts or even the Jubilee party will bow to their pressure,” Duale said as quoted by KNA.

“There are times when you used all manner of theatrics to kick out the Isack Hassan led commission and we kept quiet. Right now you have come with new demands and we will not allow that. The Kenyan people in their masses will say no,” he added.

He added that opposition has sensed earlier defeat and are resorting to excuses to justify their loss come August 8 polls.

Duale laughed off NASAs projection that they have a 10 million vote support in their strongholds, noting that it was far from the truth.
