The Immediate former Kenyan UN Habitat ambassador Sam Ongeri now says President Uhuru Kenyatta will lose to opposition leader Raila Odinga in August polls.
Ongeri, a former ally of Kenyatta adds that the president has lost control over the country insisting that many Kenyans have lost confidence in him.
“I am sure that many Kenyans will vote against Jubilee government because it has failed to live up to its promises. Kenyans are suffering at an alarming rate,” he said on Monday when he joined ODM.
He added: “Odinga has been consistent and I have seen him contain this failing regime. Our money has been looted right, left and centre making many of us lose confidence in Kenyatta’s government.”
The former Education Minister was received by Odinga at a full to capacity Kisii stadium on Monday morning.
He is set to battle out with Charles Nyachae and Omingo Magara in Kisii County senatorial race, a seat he lost narrowly to Chris Obure in 2013.
