Raila Odinga has alleged that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto are intending to use money from corrupt dealings to finance their political campaigns in this year's elections.
In his New Year's message, the CORD leader said the Jubilee government has created a few billionaires through misappropriation of public resources in complete disregard of the interests of the country.
"Corruption commandeered our country in 2016 in a way we never imagined. We are aware that Jubilee will use the money it has stolen to corrupt the electoral process, buy support and steal the forthcoming elections," said Raila.
The former Prime Minister accused the government of killing devolution by re-centralising what has been devolved due to its "huge appetite for theft of public funds".
He said Kenyans must reclaim their country by voting out the 'corrupt, dishonest and incompetence Jubilee regime'.
"What stands between us and our dreams is the government. We must stand up against the billionaires’ club," said the CORD leader.
