Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has angrily responded to the outburst made by MP Millie Odhiambo awhile back.
While discussing the election laws in the senate, Sonko said the MP is a ‘street bitch’.
“Mr. Speaker I want this debate to be done in a sober manner unlike in the National assembly where some old school bitches tried to insult the President,” Sonko said.
On a point of order, Kisumu senator Prof Anyang’ Nyong’o said the senator was out of order.
“Mr Speaker as much as I would like to listen to my friend Sonko, is it in order to use a non-parliamentary language to refer a honourable member of another house. Is it not the decorum of this house to stick to parliamentary language?” Nyong’o said.
“Mr Speaker when I heard the distinguished senator saying bitches I thought it was beaches, but I have learnt otherwise,” Wetangula said humorously.
But Sonko was hesitant to withdraw.
“I said bitches but I was referring to one Millie Odhiambo who has been all over the socil media saying she loves sex, so she is a bitch,” Sonko said.
He was, however, forced to withdraw the utterances.
