The United States has issued another travel warning to her citizens in Kenya and those planning to travel to Kenya.
The U.S department of state has told Americans to avoid travel to the border area between Somalia and Kenya because of threats by terrorist group Al Shabaab. Americans have also been warned to avoid Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, Tana river and Lamu entirely. Also in the red list are areas north of Malindi in Kilifi County and Nairobi’s Eastleigh. They are also advised to avoid using the Likoni ferry due to safety concerns. This warning replaces another one which was issued in June last year.
