Man cries for help as his elephant-size grown leg is giving him severe pain with every step he takes

A man has developed a leg the size of a full-size elephant which gives him severe pain with the slightest of movement.

Boonthing Namphet, 42, has been suffering with the condition called Lymphadenitis for more than a decade.

It stems from an infection of the lymph nodes - which means that he struggles to walk and eventually will be totally disabled.

A Thai Buddhist monk, famous for bringing aid to the poor and severely ill, is appealing for help through social media.

Monk Bhin of the Ruamkatanyu Foundation in Bangkok, Thailand. has also launched a fund to help Boonthing who has been left unable to work by the condition.

Instead his family must rely on his wife’s meagre earnings of 250 Thai baht per day (about £5.50).

That money is wiped out when she has to accompany him to hospital and stay overnight.

Their house has become dilapidated due as they don't have enough money to do any maintenance.
