Turkana County Women Rep Hon. JOICE EMANIKOR: women should take advantage of leadership opportunities that have with the new constitution

Speaking in Lodwar town while launching "Vote a Dada" campaign, Turkana County women rep Joice Emanikor encouraged women to vie for elective posts. She said that women must seize from wanting to be nominated.

She said:

“As women we have to take advantage of the leadership opportunities that have come with the new constitution and therefore we need to intensify our interest for leadership by vying in all these elective positions."

“I will support women who have interests in elective posts and I am urging them to come out in the next general elections."

The Vote a Dada campaign was funded by FIDA, Oxfam and Youth Agenda.

It Is also reported that under "Vote a Dada" campaign, women will be sensitized on; branding, campaign strategies, resource mobilization and generally writing manifestos.
