Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and the Wiper party family today had a series of roadshows just days when the CORD Chief Raila Odinga toured the coast region.
In company of Hon Kalonzo Musyoka were senator Hassan Omar and Wiper party Coast officials. The aim to popularize the party ahead of 2017 general elections.
Yesterday, the former Vice president had asked CORD leader Raila Odinga to sacrifice his presidential ambitions for him, as he has done before.
Kalonzo said:
“I have sacrificed a lot all the time and others should also sacrifice now. Things will change under my leadership."
The Wiper leader was addressing a public rally in Tana River, where he had been campaigning seeking support for his party.
Senator Hassan Omar who is the Mombasa senator and wiper secretary general echoed Kalonzo's view by saying he is the best candidate who is suitable to be the CORD flag bearer.
The senator said:
“The failure to name our presidential candidate continues to create confusion in the country, where politics has seriously been tribalised."
