Karl Lagerfeld says Kim Kardashian should not be surprised if people want to share her wealth

Karl Lagerfeld has suggested Kim Kardashian shouldn't be surprised people want to share her wealth because she puts it "on display" so often.

The creative director at Chanel has spoken out after the reality star's terrifying armed robbery ordeal which resulted in £3 million worth of jewelry being stolen as she was bound and gagged.

"I don't understand why she was in a hotel with no security and think like this," the 83-year-old designer said, as reported by the Telegraph.

"If you are that famous and you put all your jewelry on the net, you go to hotels where nobody can come near to the room.

"You cannot display your wealth and then be surprised that some people want to share it with you."

Although he appeared critical, Karl previously sent his support to Kim with a written message, which read: "Dearest Kim, we are all with you."
