Justin Bieber took a swipe at fans during the first of his three shows in Manchester on Thursday night, scolding them for talking.
The Canadian singer didn't like that the crowd at the Manchester Arena was making a racket and interrupted him before the penultimate song of his performance.
Bieber had begun to explain why his global tour was called the Purpose tour - "because everyone in here has a purpose" - but realised that some fans weren't keen to listen.
His face twitching with annoyance, he told fans: “I just thought I could have a moment to say something. I can cut the b**s*** if you want.
“I’m trying to engage but if you guys don’t want to I’ll play the music.”
Earlier in the night Bieber urged fans to be quiet while he sang two ballads, reports the Manchester Evening News.
He said gently: "Try and stay as quiet as possible. You can scream as much as you want afterwards but while I'm singing try and stay quiet."
Some fans leaped to his defence after the show, with one tweeting: "I'm so sorry, what Manchester did is just not messed up! We love you."
