EACC detectives raided Tharaka Nithi Deputy Governor Eliud Mati's home in Kinoru, Meru County on Friday.
They officers were in search of documents that could link the politician to graft allegations levelled against him.
Early this week the said deputy governor had hit the media headlines after a story emeged of him accusing his bodyguard of robbing him 3.5 million shillings at gunpoint.
Reports reaching us say the deputy governor cooperated with lethal detectives from the Anti Corruption Agency.
Reliable sources close to the deputy governor said:
