It is not the first time Jicho Pevo journalist Mohammed Ali is fearing for his life. It has reached to a point where some of his editors leak sensitive information to those who are being pursued by the fearless journalists. It is also said that these editors also bann his exposes from being aired.
The present predicament has come to light after Mohammed Ali shared this:
“Some editors have even betrayed the profession by leaking the sensitive stories we pitch to them to the government … I have been threatened with death, I have been told to stop pursuing certain storylines and in some instances, I have taken refuge out of the country for fear of my life. I fear not this regime that seems committed to silencing dissident voices in the media, I will keep speaking for the public who are downtrodden.”
