Arsenal among clubs eyeing Yuri transfer after scouting Santos wonderkid

Arsenal are reportedly among a number of Premier League clubs eyeing the transfer of 15-year-old Santos sensation Yuri.

The Gunners are joined by the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City in scouting the teenage striker, who has netted an incredible 40 goals in 28 games this season.


Yuri is a regular for Santos at Under-17 level, and could become the latest big thing to come out of their academy in recent years, following the success of big names such as Neymar and Gabriel Barbosa.

Arsenal are mentioned by Sambafoot as one of the youngster’s main suitors, but one of his representatives, Giovanni Galvao, insists there have been no offers for him so far.

‘As a representative of the player, we have to hear any kind of interest,’ he said.

‘Yuri is now seen as one of the best strikers in the youth categories of Brazil, and this is why he’s drawn the attention of the best clubs in the world.

‘But we do not think, for now, about any change.’
