The court is set to hear the case of Turkana County Chief of staff. Abraham Losinyen Ekai spend the weekend in jail after he was arrested and charged for elledgedly destroying property belonging to Kenya Power.
The court heard that Mr. Losinyen had led youths to the Kenya power company offices where they caused destruction of property protesting the disconnection of power on his business premises over an outstanding electricity bill. He however denied the allegations.
Before magistrate Christine Wasike, the prosecution prayed for more time to complete its investigation.
The accused together with accomplices were denied bail and remanded at Lodwar GK Prison.
