Kim Kardashian steps out for the first time in Newyork after terrifying armed robbery - but keeps VERY low profile (photos)

Kim Kardashian has stepped out in New York City with her family for the first time since returning home after being the victim of a terrifying armed robbery in Paris.

The reality TV star - who is said to be scaling back on public appearances in the wake of the horrifying ordeal that saw her bound and gagged - has been spotted leaving her apartment in the US as she did her best to keep a low profile.

A huge departure from her usually confident and glamorous appearance, Kim kept her face largely hidden from photographers as she carried her daughter North across the street on Thursday.

With a baggy hoodie and grey sweat pants replacing her revealing and extravagant outfits, it is clear the star is still struggling in the aftermath of the robbery.

The reality TV star's husband Kanye West was also seen with their son Saint.
