Gwyneth Paltrow 'wants to serve as mediator' between ex Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie during divorce

Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly trying to help her ex Brad Pitt through his divorce from Angelina Jolie.

It is said that the actress - who dated the Hollywood hunk for three years after meeting on the set of 1995 thriller Seven - has tried to act as a mediator between the former flames after her own amicable 'conscious uncoupling' from Chris Martin.

"She's egotistical enough to think he'll want her advice about consciously uncoupling from Angelina," a source told Radar Online.

"Gwyneth is convinced she can help and has even offered to act as an unofficial mediator for him and Angie."

However, the report claims that Brad isn't exactly thrilled by the idea.

The insider added: "That's the last thing Brad's thinking about right now of course."

It comes after reports that Brad has spent some quality time with his kids amid his split from Angelina .

The couple's marriage of two years ended last month - after the pair spent more than a decade together - and it is said he has seen his children for the first time since they announced their breakup.

As the pair's custody battle continues amid their divorce, a source had told PEOPLE magazine: "Brad has spent some wonderful time with [his] children recently."
