Quality Assurance Officers in Limuru Sub County have recommended the closure of Angaza Talent High School due to poor management and lack of adequate teaching staff.
The area Quality Assurance Officer Miriam Njugi said the owner of the school is out of the country and has left the school in the hands of a caretaker who is unable to run it.
The officers noted that the school was in a financial crisis which has made teachers flee due to unpaid salaries by the employer.
The students, according to the quality officers, have since taken up the duties of cooking and teaching themselves.
Njugi added that two of the three teachers in the school were allowed to proceed on leave only for one to remain behind to teach the form four candidates.
Njugi added that they have written a report to the County Education Board for action to be taken.
