Former prime minister Raila Odinga has sent out a strong warning message to his loyal supporters in Nyanza.
Raila Odinga warned his supporters in Nyanza region to shun political violence, adding that such activities have continually hurt his presidential ambitions and cautioned aspiring leaders against hiring the youth to cause violence in political rallies.
“It’s like my own people are not concerned about my presidential bid. They know very well that by engaging in unnecessary political squabbles, this will scuttle my presidential ambitions,” Raila said.
“Other regions are ready to back my presidential bid, but politicians from my own backyard are busy fighting each other and propagating clan-ism over unnecessary reasons,” he added.
Odinga advised local leaders to use their resources in marshalling support for his 2017 dream instead of engaging in petty fights.
