'We aren't giving the best to children' - Angelina Jolie says in a video message amid Brad Pitt divorce battle

 Angelina Jolie

The 41-year-old actress, who is a special envoy to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, explained,
"There can be no complete justice without consideration for the victims of the war crimes themselves, and the practical assistance they need to move on with their lives and overcome the harm they have suffered. That is why the work of the trust fund is important and must be supported and strengthened over time."
The Academy winning actress also said in her speech that successful prosecution of these crimes against defenceless minors "is part of the long and vital generational effort. That is the light in which I believe the court's new policy on children should be seen."
"I particularly welcome the commitment to include charges for crimes against children wherever the evidence permits as part of a more systematic approach. I congratulate the office of the chief prosecutor and all those working on the policy," the Salt actress added.
Previously, Angelina Jolie visited refugee camp in Jordan in September and addressed the "harsh" conditions under which the Syrian refugees are living at the Azraq Refugee Camp. Jolie said, "There are children here who remember no other life than this harsh, desert environment and barbed wire fences. There are teens here, who bear terrible mental and physical wounds of the conflict."
"Over half of all the refugees in Jordan are under 18. My own children are of that age. And like any other parent, it is impossible for me to imagine what it would be like for my own children in this situation. And it breaks my heart," she added.
